What is a sealed oil seal? Why is it important in excavators?
Sealed oil seal is a component used to prevent lubricating oil leakage and prevent external dust, sediment, moisture and other pollutants from entering the interior of mechanical equipment.
On excavators, they are everywhere, and their importance is reflected in:
I. Maintain lubrication: Prevent the leakage of lubrication media such as hydraulic oil and gear oil, and ensure that key components such as bearings, pin shafts and hydraulic cylinders are fully lubricated to reduce wear.
II. Prevention of pollution: Excavators work in extremely harsh environments (such as mines, construction sites, mud and water). The seal can effectively block the entry of impurities and avoid scratching precision parts (such as hydraulic cylinder rods and bearings), resulting in early damage to equipment.
III. Maintaining pressure: For the hydraulic system, sealing is the key to ensuring the establishment of the system and maintaining the working pressure. Leakage will lead to weak movement, slow speed and inefficiency.
IV. Cost savings: The failure of an oil seal of a few yuan or dozens of yuan may lead to the leakage of thousands of yuan of hydraulic oil, and even damage of tens of thousands of yuan of components (such as hydraulic pumps and motors), and the cost of maintenance hours is also very high.
