How to select and replace the oil seal
Choice principle:
I. Priority to original parts: Original parts are the most guaranteed in size, materials and performance, but the price is relatively high.
2. Choose well-known brands: such as B+SZZ, PMC, BSCP, etc., with stable and reliable quality.
III. Check the model and size: When removing the old oil seal, be sure to record its model, size (internal diameter, outer diameter, thickness) and observe its structural form. It is better to find the seal manual for comparison.
IV. Considering working conditions: If the equipment works under special working conditions (such as extremely high temperature and chemical resistance), you need to choose the seal of the special material.
Replacement precautions (taking the most critical hydraulic cylinder seal as an example):
I. Clean! Clean! Clean! The working environment, tools and hydraulic cylinder itself must be extremely clean.
II. Correct disassembly: Use special tools to avoid scratching the surface of the cylinder and piston rod.
III. Comprehensive inspection: Check whether the piston rod has scratches, whether the coating is intact, and whether the inner wall of the cylinder is smooth. Any minor defects must be repaired, otherwise the new oil seal will soon be damaged again.
IV. Correct installation:
Confirm the installation orientation and order of each seal.
Apply clean hydraulic oil to the seals and mounting grooves.
Use installation tools or guide sleeves to avoid cutting lips when passing through threads or sharp edges.
Use even force to ensure that the seals are in place.
V. Exhaust and test machine: After replacement, slowly operate the hydraulic cylinder several times to exhaust, and then check for leakage.
