The SSA-Type Piston Rod Seal is an innovative, proprietary sealing solution engineered for demanding hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder applications. Featuring a unique Self-Compensating Sealing Architecture (SSA), it delivers exceptional leak-tight performance, reduced friction, and extended service life in high-pressure, high-speed, and adverse operating conditions.

  1. Self-Compensating Dual-Lip System (SCDLS)

    • Primary Sealing Lip: Provides consistent low-pressure sealing and contamination exclusion.

    • Dynamic Compensation Lip: A patented design featuring a pressure-actuated geometry. As system pressure increases, this lip intelligently increases its contact force on the rod, ensuring a perfect seal without a corresponding increase in friction or wear.

    • Inter-Lip Reservoir: Temporarily retains lubricating film and traps fine contaminants, preventing rod scoring.

  2. Advanced Anti-Extrusion & Stability

    • Integrated High-Strength Composite Anti-Extrusion Ring (POM/PEEK optional) provides superior resistance to extrusion in gaps up to 0.6mm.

    • Optimized seal body geometry ensures exceptional stability in the housing groove, preventing roll or twist during dynamic cycles.

  3. Friction & Thermal Management

    • Micro-Surface Texture (MST) on the sealing lip contact zone promotes optimal lubricant film retention, significantly reducing breakout and running friction.

    • Heat-Dissipating Body Design minimizes heat buildup in the sealing zone, prolonging material integrity.

Installation & Design Guidance

  • Use a dedicated, tapered installation tool to protect the sealing lips.

  • Recommended rod hardness: ≥ 45 HRC.

  • Recommended rod surface finish: Ra ≤ 0.2 μm, Rz ≤ 1.5 μm, with a cross-hatched lead.

  • Ensure the gland is designed according to SSA-specific dimensional standards for optimal performance.
