TFG type back-up ring, also known as support ring or bearing ring, is an auxiliary anti-extrusion component matched with main hydraulic seals such as O-rings, piston seals and rod seals. It is installed on the low-pressure side of the primary seal to fill the clearance gap, stopping the soft elastomer seal from being squeezed and extruded into the metal gap under high pressure, which effectively avoids seal tearing and early failure.
Made of high-performance reinforced PTFE or nylon material, the TFG back-up ring features high rigidity, low friction coefficient and outstanding wear resistance.
